Introducing Heartline: Love Without Language Barriers

What happens when two people feel something real — but speak different languages?

That question started Heartline. We kept hearing the same story: a traveler who met someone extraordinary in Kyoto, a language student who fell for their conversation partner, two people on opposite sides of the world who found each other online but couldn’t bridge the gap between their words.

Language is supposed to be how humans connect. But it was getting in the way.

The Problem We Set Out to Solve

Dating apps and messaging platforms treat language as an afterthought — a “translate this message” button tucked in the corner, clunky and impersonal. Voice calls across languages were nearly impossible. Video calls even more so.

We asked: what if translation was invisible? What if you could have a real conversation — text, voice, video — and the language just disappeared?

What We Built

Heartline is a communication platform designed from the ground up for cross-language connection.

Text with instant translation. You write in your language. Your partner reads in theirs. Every message, instantly and naturally translated — so the conversation flows without friction.

Voice calls with real-time interpretation. Our AI listens, translates, and plays back your voice in your partner’s language — in real time. No lag. No awkward pauses. Just two people, actually talking.

Video calls with live subtitles. See each other’s faces, read every word. Subtitles appear as you speak, so nothing gets lost between your eyes and the words on screen.

Who Heartline Is For

Heartline is for anyone who has ever wanted to connect beyond the borders of their language. That might be:

  • A Japanese designer who met a Brazilian musician at a conference
  • A Korean student practicing Spanish with someone they genuinely like
  • Two people from France and China who started as language partners and became something more

We’re not just building a translation tool. We’re building the infrastructure for a new kind of intimacy — one that doesn’t ask you to wait for a perfect moment to learn someone’s language before you can love them.

What’s Coming Next

We’re just getting started. In the coming months, we’ll be expanding language coverage, improving voice naturalness, and building features around shared moments — listening to music together, watching videos side by side, all translated in real time.

Language is one of the last walls between people. We’re taking it down, one conversation at a time.
