Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Heartline mobile application or website ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Heartline. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
  • You are not prohibited from using the Service under applicable law
  • You will provide accurate, current, and complete registration information

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

  • Use a strong, unique password and keep it secure
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Not share your account with or transfer it to any other person
  • Keep your profile information accurate and up to date

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Heartline only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
  • Post or transmit content that is hateful, discriminatory, or sexually explicit without consent
  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity
  • Use the Service for commercial solicitation, advertising, or spam
  • Attempt to access or tamper with accounts, systems, or data that are not yours
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the application
  • Use automated bots, scrapers, or scripts to interact with the Service
  • Engage in any activity that disrupts or degrades the performance of the Service

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination without notice.

5. Translations & AI Features

Heartline provides AI-powered translation for text, voice, and video communications. While we strive for accuracy, translations may not always be perfect. Heartline is not liable for any misunderstandings, misinterpretations, or consequences arising from translation errors.

You acknowledge that translation quality may vary depending on language pairs, dialects, and contextual nuances.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create and share on Heartline. By using the Service, you grant Heartline a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, process, and transmit your content solely to provide the Service (e.g., delivering messages, performing translation).

You are solely responsible for all content you share and warrant that it does not violate any third-party rights or applicable law.

7. Subscriptions & Payments

Heartline offers both free and premium subscription tiers. Premium features are available via auto-renewing subscriptions managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
  • Refunds are subject to the policies of the respective app store platform
  • Prices may change with advance notice provided through the Service
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's account settings

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or posed a risk to the safety of other users or the Service.

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Heartline does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

Heartline is a communication platform and does not conduct background checks on users. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users. Exercise caution and good judgment when communicating with strangers online.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Heartline shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including damages for loss of data, profits, or goodwill.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Heartline in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
