- Communications: Messages, voice call audio, and video call data transmitted through the Service. Audio and video are processed transiently for real-time translation and are not stored after the call ends.
- Translation Data: Text content of messages is processed by our AI translation engine. Message content is not used for advertising purposes.
- Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the Service, including features used, time spent, and interactions.
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, app version, and IP address for security and analytics purposes.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- Deliver real-time translation for text, voice, and video communications
- Match you with compatible users based on your preferences
- Send you account-related notifications and updates
- Monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve the Service

4. Translation & AI Processing
Heartline uses artificial intelligence to translate messages and live communications in real time. Text messages are processed by our translation engine to produce translated outputs for your conversation partner. Voice and video content is processed ephemerally — audio is transcribed, translated, and synthesized during the call and is not retained on our servers once the session ends.
We do not use the content of your private conversations to train AI models or for advertising targeting.
5. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data only in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: Trusted third-party vendors who assist in operating the Service (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics), bound by confidentiality agreements.
- Other Users: Profile information and communications you choose to share with matched users.
- Legal Requirements: When required by applicable law, court order, or governmental authority.
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with prior notice to users.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time through the app settings or by contacting us. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Heartline is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal data, we will promptly delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via in-app notification or email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
