Couples in different time zones have a specific kind of loneliness: one of you wakes up while the other is going to sleep, and the first hour of your day happens with nobody to share it with.
Morning Moment is a small ritual we built for that hour. Before your partner goes to bed, they leave you something: a voice note, a few lines, a photo. It stays locked until your morning starts, and then it's the first thing you open.
Setting your mornings
You tell Heartline when your day usually starts, with separate times for weekdays and weekends. That's it.

We were careful about one detail. Your partner never sees your exact schedule. They see something like "their morning starts in 6h 12m," which is enough to know when to leave something, and nothing more. Plenty of people don't love the idea of their wake-up time being on display, even to someone they love.
You can turn on a single notification when it unlocks, sent at your morning and only then. No reminders, no streak warnings.
Opening one
When the moment unlocks you get a card: "Lucía left you a morning surprise." Inside there's whatever they left. A 12-second voice note, a short message, a photo. The message is translated into your language, with their original right below it:
Good morning. I left this for when you wake up. Have a beautiful day — I'll call you tonight. Buenos días. Te dejé esto para cuando despiertes. Que tengas un día precioso, esta noche te llamo.
Then you can tag it with how it landed (Love this, Made me cry, Miss you) and they'll see the tag on the card when they wake up. Or you can just reply.
Counting what you shared
There's a small counter at the bottom of the screen: mornings together. It only goes up. If you skip a night, nothing happens, nothing resets, and nobody gets a sad notification. Heartline counts what you shared and never what you missed. We think relationships have enough guilt in them already.
Why it works across languages
Leaving a voice note in your second language at the end of a long day is hard, and most people don't do it. With Morning Moment you speak in your own language, half-asleep, however you'd normally say it, and your partner reads it in theirs. It's easier to be tender when you don't have to think about grammar.
If you want something more casual during the day, Pulse is the everyday version: a video conversation you take turns in whenever you have a minute. And for the long conversations, there are live-translated calls.
Heartline provides real-time translation for text, voice, and video calls — built specifically for cross-language couples. Available free on iOS and Android.
Frequently asked questions
Can my partner see exactly when I wake up?
No. They see how long until your morning starts, never your exact schedule.
What can a Morning Moment contain?
A voice note, a short message and a photo. Text is translated into your language with the original shown below.
What happens if we skip a day?
Nothing. The counter only tracks mornings you shared; it never resets or sends reminders.
